One of my most favorite things about the last few weeks, has been seeing all of the pictures of friends wearing the bracelets for Charlie. We have sold them to people we have never met before, and in 4 different states! What an encouragement to know so many are coming along on this adventure with us!

It has been so fun walking in the halls at church and seeing friends, and even some of our students wearing them. The money from these bracelets goes to help fund our adoption, but also a portion of the sales goes to help provide families in Haiti with an income in order to keep their families intact. We are so excited to be on this journey, and we couldn’t be more grateful for each of you that have joined us in many different ways, whether through donations, kind words, or prayers. Now, we need your help to spread the word, and to get these bracelets sold! I would love nothing more than if by next Sunday we sold 100! Yeah, you heard me right! We have made them really easy to purchase too. All you need to do is go to the “Adoption Store” tab at the top of the page, or click HERE. You can purchase them directly online. We can ship them all over the United States too. Local friends, if you just let us know, we can arrange to personally deliver. Seriously friends, these make great Christmas gifts, are SUPER cute, and are for a good cause!

Today was a difficult day for me. Too many things going on in my mind & heart, making life feel overwhelming. Adopting is a life changer, for everyone involved, and I have already begun to feel the magnitude of this truth. It’s scary to realize that our cushy, safe life is about to be radically rocked. But I grip on to something I read in Jennie Allen’s book, Anything. “If life is temporary, why create the safest one possible that gets you through it with the least amount of scars? If we believe this life is temporary, that belief alone changes how we live it.” If we only have so much time on this earth, why not live with the abandonment of FEAR, and start living a life of TRUST. Let’s stop worrying about how things will happen, and start caring about actually doing them. Tonight I will rest in His presence, and know that even though things may hurt, and they may leave a scar or two, the magnitude of who God is, will always be greater. XOXO
