Sweet friends, have you struggled to find community where you are at? Are you in need of encouragement? Do you just love connecting with new people who are walking on the same paths as you? Then I have something incredible, that can meet you right where you are, on your specific journey of life.
There are not many things that get me this excited! I have looked forward to this moment for a few weeks, and I am beyond giddy to finally share something very exciting with all of you.
You may have heard of the incredible, amazing, always awesome ministry called (in)courage. Many strong, Godly women are a part of this site. Maybe you have heard of a few of them. Angie Smith, Annie Downs, Lisa Jo Baker, and Jessica Turner, just to name a few. And MANY, MANY more wonderful ladies, you may have never heard of before. (In)courage is a place that loves Jesus, loves to encourage women in every stage of life, and loves to surround women with a community to love on them, and pick them up from the trenches of life that sometimes swallow us.
Ok, ok, so for the exciting news! Twice a year (in)courage does something A-Mazing! They create community groups that run for a six week session. There are over 70 different groups this session! These community groups are something any lady can sign up and join. Here is a little description from the (in)courage website about what these groups are designed for: (in)courage community groups.
About a month ago I was asked to help co-lead the Women (in) Ministry group: Surrendered Hearts. After the shock of even being asked to help in this, and praying for the wisdom on whether to even do it, I accepted! I was so excited to meet (well over the phone, email, and texts 🙂 ) a new friend, Dana, who will be co-leading this group with me. She has a true heart for Christ, and for loving on women in every walk of life. I have a special place in my heart for women who are in ministry. Maybe because that is where I am! Whether you are the wife of a minister or you yourself are a leader in some sort of ministry, your work IS important. You mean the world to those around you, even if you’re not always told. Our hope is that we can allow this to be a place of refreshment, that you may see that what you do matters. We want this to be a place where you can share your stories, and where new friendships are formed. We hope that your time with us leaves you feeling valued and treasured by the God who has called you to a life of serving Him.
If you are in some sort of ministry either directly with a church, or indirectly, we welcome you with open arms, lots of love, and virtual hugs! 🙂 We would love to come along side you these next 6 weeks, and remind you how important you and the time you spend serving Jesus, and people, is. You can check out more about mine & Dana’s group here: Women in Ministry: Surrendered Hearts.
If ministry isn’t where you are in life, I guarantee there is another group for you! Everything from stay at home moms, women dealing with depression, working moms, college age ladies, and empty nesters. Check out all of the groups here: (in)courage community groups. I am encouraging(see what I did there) you to think, pray, seek, about joining a group. I don’t think you’ll be sorry you did. Well, I KNOW you won’t. 🙂
If you have any questions about my group, or any others, please feel free to ask in the comments. Be sure to hurry and sign up. Registration closes at the end of the week, and there are limited spots already!
